ACA Student Membership
ACA Student Membership provides an opportunity to demonstrate your engagement with the counselling profession and commitment to industry standards.
Holding student membership can also strengthen your professional profile when applying for counselling student placements, by demonstrating your affiliation with the industry and commitment to professional development.
How Much Does Student Membership Cost?
Students enrolled in an ACA-accredited counselling course receive a 50% discount on their first year of ACA Student Membership.
The discounted first-year membership fee is $50, followed by the standard student membership fee of $100 per year thereafter.

Student $100 upgrade discount on full practising membership
Once you have completed your ACA-accredited counselling course and are ready to upgrade to practising membership, you may be eligible for a $100 discount on your first 12 months of membership.
The discount applies when upgrading from Student Membership to Level 1 or Level 2 Practising Membership. To receive the discount, your Student Membership must still be current at the time you upgrade.
Student Membership eligibility
Student Membership is available to students enrolled in an ACA-accredited or approved course of study in counselling at a minimum of Diploma level (AQF Level 5 or 6), or at a higher education level (AQF Levels 7, 8 or 9).
