AHPRA can be very strict about the English language requirements for provisional registration. Even students who have lived and studied in Australia or undertook their high school education in English but in a country AHPRA does not recognise can have trouble getting registration if they were born overseas.

If you are unable to gain provisional registration by the census date (see: What is the Census Date?) of your first active placement unit, then your enrolment may be subject to review or cancelation. This would normally trigger a progress review meeting prior to enrolment cancelation (see also: Academic Progress and Progress Review Hearings). You would normally be able to return to study after you resolve your registration but must not undertake a psychology placement while not registered with AHPRA.
