COVID Vaccination requirements
We strongly recommend and encourage you to be vaccinated in order to protect the health of our broader CMI community, but you don’t need to register your vaccination status or show proof of vaccination to attend campus.

- While booster vaccinations are recommended, they are no longer mandated for attendance on the Cairnmillar sites
- If you are visiting health agencies/hospitals on placement, please check their individual requirements and seek advice from your Placement Coordinator

Exceptions
For students on placements in a health facility, including CMI clinics, must be fully vaccinated or fully vaccinated (boosted) (as applicable) against COVID-19.
As per the Department of Health Guidelines, we will need to sight evidence of any of the following to confirm Students on placements are fully vaccinated or fully vaccinated (boosted) (as applicable) against COVID-19, and record compliance with applicable vaccination COVID-19 requirements.
- current Immunisation History Statement from the Australian Immunisation Register;
- current COVID-19 digital certificate;
- printed version of COVID-19 digital certificate; or
- Australian International COVID-19 Vaccination certificate (ICVC).
If the Placement Unit is undertaken in a health care setting, or any of the places where a vaccination requirement exists, student would need to abide by the vaccination directive of that organisation.
A health care setting is defined as:

- public health services
- public hospitals
- denominational hospitals
- private hospitals and day procedure centres
- ambulance and patient transport services
- residential aged care services operated by public health services
