Final Submission Date
Discuss your intended thesis submission date with your supervisor and ensure that you are aware of any relevant candidature or submission requirements.
Students must submit via their relevant research unit on Canvas.
Prior to Submission
Discuss your readiness to submit with your supervisor. Your supervisor will recommend suitable examiners, with examiner appointments managed through the Institute’s thesis examination process.
Examiner identities remain confidential during the examination process. If you are aware of any potential conflicts of interest involving possible examiners, discuss these with your supervisor before submission.
Ensure that your thesis meets all relevant formatting, word length, declaration, research integrity and submission requirements.
Submission for Examination
On or before your submission date.
- Confirm the final draft for submission with your supervisor.
- Submit the Release of Thesis Form
- Submit a PDF copy of your thesis via the FINAL Thesis Submission assignment in the relevant thesis site on Canvas.
- Complete any declarations required as part of submission.
The overall examination process may take up to three months. You will be contacted once the examination process has been completed and an outcome has been determined. You will receive the examiner feedback together with instructions about any amendments or further steps required.
Following Examination
Depending on the examination outcome, you may be required to make amendments to your thesis or undertake further revision and re-examination.
Where amendments are required, you will be provided with instructions regarding the required changes, the applicable timeframe, and the process for submitting your revised thesis. You will also be required to provide a written point-by-point response explaining how you have addressed the examiner feedback.
Once all required amendments have been completed and your thesis has received final approval, you will be provided with instructions for lodging the final approved version of your thesis and any other required materials.
