What to do if you test positive for COVID
-
-
- If you test positive for COVID-19, you should stay away from campus or the Cairnmillar clinics for a minimum of 5 days.
- Please notify your Unit Coordinator to advise of your absence. They will provide assistance regarding extensions or special consideration.
- As a minimum, if you are a close contact, you are encouraged to explore studying from home, if you can, for 7 days.
- It is important to follow the Victorian Department of Health guidance https://www.coronavirus.vic.gov.au/advice regarding testing and when to seek medical advice.
-
Students who wish to apply for an extension or special consideration can use a copy of the text from the Department as evidence to support their application.
If you were on campus while infectious (or might have been infectious), please contact your Unit Coordinator who will inform close contacts. You will not be identified in this notification process.
The Department provides extensive guidance (https://www.coronavirus.vic.gov.au/checklist) on managing the symptoms, requirements for close contacts and ending isolation.
