Once you have completed all of your course requirements and your final marks have been released you will be sent your invitation to apply to graduate from Cairnmillar. (See: Do I have to apply to graduate?). To make sure you meet the eligibility requirements for graduation, read: Graduating from your degree (completion and conferral).
Graduation Ceremony
2026 Graduation Date: 21 May 2026
If your degree was completed between April of the previous year and March of the current year, you will be eligible to graduate in the upcoming graduation ceremony.
Note: Cairnmillar hosts one graduate ceremony each year in May, where eligible graduands from the council conferrals in the year prior, as well as the April conferral in the same year, can register to attend.
Conferral Periods
Conferral dates occur regularly throughout the year. To understand what completion, conferral and graduation mean, read: Graduating from your degree (completion and conferral).
When you complete your course requirements, Cairnmillar needs to confer your degree. When your degree is conferred, you can then attain your Testamur, Completed Transcript and AHEGS (we call this your “graduation pack”) during your eligible conferral period. We do not automatically issue graduation packs after conferral, you need to “apply to graduate” to receive this. (See: Do I have to apply to graduate?).
