Welcome to the my.CMI FAQ – this is your first stop for all things Cairnmillar. If you are ever unsure or unclear on what to do or where to find something, start with my.CMI.
It is a searchable and regularly updated knowledge base with links and more information on hundreds of common questions and issues for Cairnmillar staff and students. New students should explore myCMI as much as possible to help you get an idea of how things work and who you can go to for more information on the many and various matters you may encounter during your studies.

Access myCMI:
There are lots of ways to access myCMI (this website).
You can use or bookmark a direct link like this one: https://my.cairnmillar.edu.au/
You can go to the public Cairnmillar website (which you can google if you can’t remember it) then click on the ‘my.CMI’ menu in the red bar on the upper right of the screen OR use the ‘Current Students’ option under the Higher Education navigation. See: https://www.cairnmillar.edu.au/
If you are using a Cairnmillar computer on campus and using the Chrome browser, you can access myCMI from the ‘Managed Bookmarks’ on your bookmarks bar and myCMI will also be your homepage.
Use myCMI:
The most common forms, questions and systems are all linked to from the main Navigation bar at the top of your screen, and the myCMI Homepage. These key areas are clustered by Placements, or Research or Thesis, or Student Admin, and FAQs.
Using the FAQ and Knowledgebase is also very easy. Once you are on the FAQ page (https://my.cairnmillar.edu.au/knowledgebase/) there is a search bar near the top of your screen and on most pages in myCMI which will let you search thousands of answers, articles and links to help you do just about any student related task.
Search for information you need there. If you cannot find something in the Knowledgebase you can email education@cairnmillar.edu.au and we will add your question to the FAQ or update the existing answer to include your search terms so the next person can find the answer too.
There are hundreds of items on myCMI covering almost everything a current student may need to know. Please try myCMI for all your questions and explore further for answers to questions you may not have even thought to ask.
