A number of processes that you may need to engage with while you study will ask you to provide evidence to support a request, this is normally if you are making a request for compassionate consideration or other compelling circumstances.
What evidence is best for your situation will be unique and will depend on what has happened and what forms of official information or evidence are available to you.
Examples of evidence for compassionate or compelling circumstances might include:
- medical certificates,
- letters from a doctor, other medical professional (e.g. psychologist or counsellor), or even a lawyer,
- letter from an employer and/or centrelink and/or ATO
- police report(s)
- death certificate, funeral notice or obituary
- other relevant externally verifiable notice, letter or official information
- statutory declaration by a relevant person (e.g. mother, friend, witness)
- statutory declaration by the student (only with approval if no other evidence is relevant or possible)
