At the end of each semester, you will be sent a Unit Evaluation Survey for each taught (class based) unit you are enrolled in. These longer more detailed evaluations are different from the quick touchpoint survey sent mid-semester.
Unit Evaluations normally open in the final week of teaching and are open for two to three weeks after that.
Please take the time to complete the individual survey for each unit you were enrolled in. Your feedback is crucial to our planning and improvement processes and every survey completed helps us immensely.
Why do I have so many surveys?
You get sent a separate survey link for every standard taught (class or workshop based) unit you are enrolled in for this teaching period. Each survey relates to a different unit and teaching team. Please take the time to complete the survey for each unit.
Why do I keep getting survey reminders?
We send regular reminders to those students who have not completed the survey. You are normally only sent a reminder if SurveyMonkey has not logged your response.
SurveyMonkey will automatically send a confirmation thank you email once your response is recorded. Please check your student email to confirm that you have the thank you message. If not, please use one of the reminder links and complete the survey in full and remember to click submit at the end. Thank you!
We use an external survey provider which means if you think you have completed we cannot check or amend this as the data and your email are stored separately for your confidentiality. If you need technical assistance completing the survey please try the SurveyMonkey website: https://help.surveymonkey.com
Why does the survey end before I get my final result?
There are a number of reasons why it is industry best practice for unit evaluations to be finished before final results. It is important that your feedback is focused on your learning experience and as recent as possible. It is also considered a deterrent to grade inflation and various other data and teaching quality considerations.
I did not get a survey link for one or more of my units?
First, check the spam folder in your student email account. If the invitation is not there please email education@cairnmillar.edu.au and let us know.
