Cairnmillar is a very small, non-profit higher education provider accredited under the TEQSA Act 2011. First established in 1961, Cairnmillar has a long history of delivering quality higher education and professional training.
Many students don’t know this, but Cairnmillar is also a registered charity. Training high quality mental health professionals has been part of our mission since day one, along with other aspects of the organisation like our low cost and professional clinics, our research and community intervention programs, and our advanced professional development programs.
As a higher education provider, we specialise in professional counselling and psychology education at the postgraduate level and we pride ourselves on providing high quality practice focused education in these disciplines. We are also a research institute, a community outreach hub, and we run active professional psychology and counselling clinics in several locations across Melbourne.
