Most Cairnmillar students will pay their tuition fees via a FEE-HELP loan. FEE-HELP is similar to HECS-HELP but is specific to full-fee places which are not subsidised by the government.

Many Australians use the word ‘HECS’ colloquially to mean the entire HELP loan program, including FEE-HELP which can be confusing for students when HECS-HELP normally only applies to CSP funded places at undergraduate level.

FEE-HELP
When you attend university or an approved higher education provider, you can get a FEE-HELP loan to pay all or part of your tuition fees if you are enrolled in a full-fee (unfunded) place.
FEE-HELP is applicable to almost all eligible Cairnmillar students. See also:

Undergraduate students (courses at AQF 7 and below) have to pay an additional 25% on top of their tuition fees as a student loan tax when paying by FEE-HELP (see also: FEE-HELP Admin Fees and Student Loan Tax). Note: Most Cairnmillar programs are postgraduate e.g. AQF 8 or above and do not get charged an additional loan tax for using FEE-HELP. HECS-HELP
When you attend university or an approved higher education provider, you can get a HECS-HELP loan to pay for your studies if you are enrolled in a Commonwealth supported place (CSP).
HECS-HELP will only apply to the small number of approved government funded students in the 2021 Cairnmillar CSP Government Funded Short Courses
