The first year of the dual masters program is an embedded Master of Professional Psychology (MPP) course which is accredited by APAC as a 5th year standalone program. See: https://www.psychologycouncil.org.au/APAC_accredited_psychology_programs_australasia
The Master of Professional Psychology Practice (MPPP) is not and cannot be accredited by APAC.
This is because APAC does not have authority to accredit AHPRA internship programs. Each student has to have individual approval of their Internship Placement Plan directly from AHPRA (which we help you arrange as part of the MPPP program).
The MPPP program is designed to incorporate and support all of the requirements of the 5+1 internship, thus the APAC accredited MPP is embedded as the first year of the program. Students can exit at the end of the MPP year, and obtain their own external internship placement and supervision or , if they have a 70% or better WAM in the MPP, they can continue into the MPPP for the internship. If you choose to continue into the MPPP (Internship) you will still graduate with your MPP at the end of the first year to ensure you meet all requirements for generalist registration with AHPRA.
