If you have applied as a non-Australian citizen (including permanent residents) and have indicated in your application that you will not require a student visa then a VEVO check may be required to finalise your enrolment, as per your Enrolment Conditions that you will have agreed to when you accepted an offer.
Visa Entitlement Verification Online (VEVO) allows visa holders, employers, education providers and other organisations to check visa details and conditions.
VEVO tells us:
- which visa
- the expiry date
- the must not arrive after date
- the period of stay (how long you can stay)
- conditions (what you can and can’t do).

Note: if a VEVO check is conducted and the Affected Person (you) is not entitled to be in Australia, the Commonwealth may use the information described in Site visa data subclause 5 to locate the Affected Person.
