CHESSN (Commonwealth Higher Education Student Support Number)

Your CHESSN is your Commonwealth Higher Education Student Support Number. It is a unique identifier/identifying number that stays with you for the whole of your student life. Your CHESSN helps providers and the Australian Government provide you with information about any Commonwealth assistance (scholarships or HELP loans) you may have used.

If you get FEE-HELP then you may need to know your CHESSN for various purposes, like tracking your HELP loan debt in the myUniAssist portal.

You do not need your CHESSN to apply for FEE-HELP. We will get it automatically after you apply for FEE-HELP the first time.

Your CHESSN will be listed on the Commonwealth Assistance Notice (CAN) report that we send you each teaching period to confirm your FEE-HELP debts. Please search your student email for your latest CAN report if you need to locate your CHESSN.

If you cannot locate a CAN report from us please contact education@cairnmillar.edu.au to have one re-sent to you.

You can view your CHESSN and other personal details via the Paradigm Enrolment Portal. If you need help using or accessing Paradigm, please email helpdesk@cairnmillar.org.au for assistance.
