2026 Census Dates
- Semester 1 – 09 March 2026
- Semester 2 – 03 August 2026
The census date is the final date you can withdraw from a unit without incurring financial or academic penalties. It is also the date after which enrolment and FEE-HELP information is finalised for reporting to the relevant government departments, including the Department of Education and the Australian Taxation Office (ATO).
Any applications or requests that are due by the census date must be submitted by 5:00 pm on the census date.
Placements and Work-Based Learning
All placements and work-based learning activities must commence before the census date for the relevant enrolment period.
If you are unable to commence your placement before the applicable census date, you should contact Student Services to discuss transferring your enrolment to a later enrolment period. An earlier placement start may be arranged where appropriate.
Finding Your Census Date
Each semester or teaching period has an official census date that applies to all unit enrolments undertaken during that period.
Current and future census dates are published in the Academic Calendar.
For a specific past or current unit enrolment, you can also view the census date in your unit history in Paradigm. This can be accessed in the same way as checking your final results.
