Extension Enrolment Fees and Waivers

In some cases an additional enrolment may be required to cover a long extension period for a thesis or placement. This is very rare. Most standard extensions do not incur any additional enrolment or fees.

Further enrolments are normally only required if your placement or thesis will be finished after the census date of the next enrolment period. We will contact you with more information if a further enrolment is required to finish your extension.

Where additional supervision is required a tuition fee may apply to the extension enrolment. The fee is the same as a standard 12.5 credit point unit fee for your course or 25 credit points for the MPPP Internship program. See: Tuition Fees and Unit Costs

The extension enrolment tuition fee may be waived where no additional external supervision is required but the situation leading to the extension was outside of your control. A fee waiver is normally only possible once per thesis or placement, meaning subsequent extensions for the same placement or thesis may result in fees being charged. Speak with your Placement Coordinator for advice about your specific situation.
