Understanding your transcript:
What is a transcript?
Your academic transcript is a list of all units (e.g. subjects) undertaken in a specific course of study (e.g. degree program) and your enrolment status or official result for each unit. It shows your mark and grade (if published) and your enrolment status. The content of this document is partially governed by the TEQSA Threshold Standards, the HESA Act (2003) and HESA Guidelines.
A transcript can be generated per course or program if you have taken more than one course at Cairnmillar. If you need multiple transcripts or documents for multiple courses you will have to submit separate requests.
Completion Date
If you have officially completed your program of study your transcript will show this, with an official completion date for a course near the top of your results table, just below the course title at the top of the unit list. If you have not completed yet then this section will say ‘Enrolled’ instead (or Deferred if you are on LOA or Withdrawn if applicable).
The ‘date conferred’ means your graduation date (if applicable). If you have not been formally approved to graduate then this will state ‘not yet conferred’ even if you have completed the course. This shows at the bottom of the transcript and should not be confused with the completion statement above.

Electronic Signature or Security Banner
As of October 2019 all electronic transcripts will be issued with a certified (security certificate) tamper proof security banner. If you have an old electronic transcript (pre-2019) and need a secured or electronically signed one, just make a new request and the updated transcript will come through with the certification.
Not to be confused with a certified copy of a photocopied document. See: Certified records or documents?
