If you run out of FEE-HELP or combined HELP entitlements part way through your studies, the government will let us know.
Normally we will send a reminder as you approach your limit when the government and ATO let us know that you are nearing your entitlement limit. We expect some minor issues with this system in the 2019 and 2020 rounds due to changes in government reporting systems so updates and reminders may be more of less frequent in this transitional period however we will do our best to support you in monitoring your HELP entitlement and limits.
Once you reach the HELP entitlement limit your FEE-HELP loan will pay for as much as possible of the final tuition fees charged. You will then be invoiced for any additional amounts refused by FEE-HELP (warning: the timing of this is outside our control and this can happen very late in the semester). You will then need to convert to up-front payments for any future semesters. You may also want to consider a private personal loan provider such as Zeefi.
