Transcript or Completion Confirmation for AHPRA (Graduate List)

We upload an official Graduate List to AHPRA on a monthly basis after our regular course completion checks and processes to let AHPRA know who is eligible for graduation in our relevant programs for registration purposes.

These are sent typically sent in the first week of every month. As long as you officially completed all of your course requirements (including all placement documents and thesis result being final, if applicable) before the list is sent you will be included, even if your degree has not yet been conferred. See also: Completion and Conferral.

For any notifications required outside of the regularly scheduled reports, students will need to manually request (via the Transcript Request Form) that CMI send their transcript to AHPRA, with a small administrative cost associated.

The Graduate List is the official notice to AHPRA to confirm all formal course completions in the following APAC accredited programs:

  • Bachelor of Psychology (Honours)
  • Master of Professional Psychology (MPP)
  • Master of Psychology (Clinical Psychology)
  • Doctor of Psychology (Clinical Psychology)
  • Master of Clinical Psychology (Post Registration)

We do not normally email you when the graduate list happens because AHPRA processing times can vary quite a lot even after it occurs (it can take them up to a month to check the list and they will continue to email graduates asking for evidence even though they have it). However, normally the worst that will happen if you apply for registration before your name is added to the Graduate List or before they check it is that AHPRA will ask you for a screen shot of your completion (see below for advice) in anticipation.

Sometimes, AHPRA will only fully accept a transcript or completion confirmation if it is sent by us directly to them (this is becoming less common but it depends on what you are applying for and why). You either need to be on a Graduate List or have your transcript sent directly to AHPRA depending on the timing of your completion. Please refer to the advice AHPRA have given you to know if they want a screenshot while you wait for the Grad List update or a direct transcript. We have been unable to obtain an answer about when they prefer which method. There is a ‘direct to AHPRA’ option on the Transcript Request Form, which you can use any time you want documents sent directly to AHPRA, and if you do not want to wait for the monthly reports.

AHPRA normally only need you to have officially completed the course requirements and do not normally need to wait for formal conferral at graduation. For more information on the difference see Completion and Conferral.

AHPRA may sometimes ask you to submit a transcript or other unofficial evidence in anticipation of the graduate list, such as a screen shot from your student portal which shows that you have completed the course. When they say ‘student portal’ they mean Paradigm. Try these instructions on Checking your course enrolment to help you, or just give them a screen shot of the Summary screen which clearly shows your status in the course of study as complete.

If you need help taking a screen shot please try an internet search for how to do so on your specific device(s). If that is still not clear, you can contact IT Helpdesk for assistance (please note this is not normally the sort of support they provide so please ask nicely!).

MPPP for AHPRA

We do not normally send Master of Professional Psychology Practice (MPPP) transcripts or evidence to AHPRA as they do not normally need them. They will want evidence of your 5th year not your +1 year, this is normally your MPP transcript. Most MPP completions will have already been reported through the Graduate List (see above) and will only need to be requested separately in rare cases (e.g. only if AHPRA specifically request it be re-sent for some reason).

If you want, you can request an MPPP transcript for AHPRA by using the Transcript Request Form but there is a non-refundable cost to the requests so please confirm that AHPRA do need the MPPP transcript specifically before submitting your request.

If you completed your MPP or other 5th year qualification externally (e.g. not at Cairnmillar) you will need to contact the institution directly for information about how to have them confirm your 5th year completion with AHPRA.
